From 8 to 15 August, San Sebastián celebrates another edition of its Semana Grande. For eight days, the city is filled with concerts, sporting activities, family events and a lively atmosphere in the streets, as well as one of its main attractions: the International Fireworks Competition over La Concha Bay. The official programme includes 416 activities across 30 venues throughout the city.

Aste Nagusi Pirata: another way to experience Semana Grande
The Pirate Semana Grande, or Aste Nagusi Pirata, returns with its own programme of events from 8 to 15 August. Its schedule combines communal meals, street parades, activities, concerts and participatory events at different locations around the city.
Some of its most characteristic events include the traditional Abordaje and its communal meal, the climb to Urgull, popular games, kalejiras, the bertso-poteo and numerous concerts. The programme also features activities at venues such as Flamenka, Lasta, Kaia, Trinitate Plaza and Bernart Etxepare Plaza, as well as events with feminist themes and activities aimed at different audiences.
